Bay View Rolling Mill : The Reason We Exist
Description:
Photograph of the millhouses, also known as puddler's cottages. Mill employees could rent or buy these company-built homes.

What's the story?:
Bay View started out as a company town. Of the seventy-six acres that Ward and the company owned, they built homes---one story puddler's cottages--- and boarding houses, donated land for churches, and created lots for people who wanted to build their own homes.
